Here at Magnolia Farms our goal is to follow in the efforts of LH Ladner in breeding for a true Blackmouth Cur that will not only promote the breed, but will honor its owner, be it through hunting, herding work, and most importantly friendship. We have built our program around the best lines of Ladner dogs that can be found. While our kennel is in continuous growth, we still raise them one puppy at a time. So many times breeders breed for numbers to produce better dogs through simple statistics, but we prefer to do it through constant study of behavior, temperament, hunting ability and color. While we only produce a few litters a year, our pups possess the best qualities of the breed. Our foundation sire is “Buck” whose pedigree includes Champion Squirrel dog, "Ladner’s Trap". "Buck" is a strong hunter who trees with a tenacity that any dog lover could only admire.
